Great chooks from other countries Many of the world's other chicken breeds are found in Australia. Most are of high quality, equal or better than anywhere in the world. Others are not so strong, with a total embargo on poultry imports from 1948 until quite recently, taking its toll on less popular varieties. The Hamburgh holds a special place in my heart so naturally there is also a study on this ancient and beautiful breed. Two new additions to this page are Modern Games and Pekin bantams and as time goes by, more breeds will be added, so come back often. Copyright
